Gavin Bajin
Vice President, Territory Franchising
Gavin Bajin joined Modern Cleaning in 2022, taking the role of VP, Territory Franchising.
He became very excited at the prospect of building a franchise network of small business
owners with the support of the GDI family of brands. Gavin refined his skills in
franchising while working as the National Director of ServiceMaster Clean Canada where he
worked for 12 years. Under his leadership and business influence, the franchise network
became more innovative and tech-centric while growing from $60M to $130M in revenue
from coast to coast. After completing his Mechanical Engineering degree, Gavin worked
for a hydrogen generator manufacturer and subsequently, Xerox, where he honed his skills
in process improvement and productivity. He then moved to the construction services
industry in 2003 where he joined Stephenson’s Rental Services and was responsible for
creating business processes and sales efforts to help streamline a business unit.

Thomas Daigle
Director, Franchise Development - West
Thomas is a seasoned professional with a proven track record in franchise development and sales.
He joined Modern in 2022 as Director, Franchise Business Development - West, with a clear mission
to expand the business Western Canada and foster a robust network of Territory Franchise owners
to complement the GDI group of companies. Bringing over 7 years of invaluable experience in
franchise sales and customer acquisitions, Thomas previously served as the Regional Director
at Jani-King of Northern Alberta. During his tenure, he spearheaded the successful sale and
onboarding of over 45 franchise owners, showcasing his adeptness at cultivating strong partnerships.
Notably, Thomas clinched the top contract sales position in Canada multiple years, underscoring
his commitment to excellence and results-driven approach. Before his tenure at Jani-King, Thomas
honed his management skills as a Project Manager at Allwest Commercial Furnishing, where he
orchestrated large-scale furniture installations and moves for prominent national accounts across
Western Canada. This background equipped him with a keen understanding of operational intricacies and
the ability to navigate complex projects seamlessly.

Ike Ume
Franchise Business Consultant
Ike Ume joined Modern Cleaning in 2022 taking the role of Franchise Business Consultant. With over
8 years experience in the facility services and commercial cleaning industry, and over 20 years in
B2B sales, Ike left Jani-King to join the Modern team and grow the Territory Franchise division.
While working with over 400 franchisees, Ike helped to grow the Jani-King of Southwestern Ontario
business from $8M to $14M in annual sales. He developed and implemented sales and marketing strategies
focused on local B2B sales in the commercial cleaning industry. Prior to working at Jani-King,
Ike worked at Cintas where managed the facility needs for a diverse portfolio of customers providing
high levels of customer satisfaction and exceeding sales quotas every quarter.
